How to Install DOCMan ?

1. Download DOCMan component.
2. Go to Installers>Components
   
   
3. Select your file on your hard drive and click on upload and install.
   
   
4. Docman is now installed.

How to configure DOCMan ?

1. Go to Components>DOCMan>Management.
   
   
2. A nice, powerful Control Panel opens, where we will set some things
   

Adding Categories in DOCMan

1. We will first create some Categories. Click on Categories
2. Click on Add
   
   
3. Category window opens: insert title, name and description. Save.
   Add as many categories as you need.
   
4. Now click on Cpanel where we will add some files.

Adding Files in DOCMan

1. Click on Files and when new window opens, Click on Upload on right.
   
2. Select Upload a file from your computer, browse for file and click on submit.
3. You can add as many files as you want. Once you are done go back to Control Panel.

Creating Documents in DOCMan

1. Click on Documents
2. Click on New. New window opens with Document Options.
3. Enter Document Name, Select Image, Select File (you have previously uploaded), select Category and enter description.
   
   
4. Scroll down and make sure Approved and Published radio button are selected. Scroll back up and click on Permissions tab.
   
   
5. Select Everybody if you want all visitors of your website to have access to your documents. Otherwise select Registered users.
   
   
6. Save

Create a Menu Item for DOCMan

Before you can use DOCMan you have to do one more thing. You need to create a menu item.

1. Go to Menu>Menu Manager
2. Click on Edit Menu Icon below the menu you want to edit
   
   
3. Click on New
   
   
4. Select Component
   
   
5. Enter Menu Name and Select DOCMan Component
   
   
6. Save
   

Check your site. DOCMan should now be working.
